Fancy a treat? Why not head down to the Piazza to see what the Brackley Charter Market has on offer?

With an excellent selection that you just can't get anywhere else, the weekly market here every Friday between 7am and 2pm is a must visit if you are a Brackley local.

From local produce, freshly baked goods, fresh fish, cheeses, butchers, dog treats, plants and flowers, to fruit and veg, there is plenty to explore. You can even grab some hot traditional Indian snacks to enjoy while you browse!

The market gets going early, with some traders arriving before 7am, so it is well worth stopping by on your way to work. If you're after some fresh fish, make sure to visit from 8am, as our fishmonger travels all the way to London in the early hours to source the best quality produce before bringing it back to Brackley.

Not only is it a great place to pick up some quality essentials, but the Charter Market is deeply intertwined with Brackley's history. It was formally granted in 1217 during the reign of King Henry III, but the market likely existed even earlier, with historical evidence suggesting it was already established by around the 1160s.

With a history spanning almost a thousand years, our Friday Market is quietly one of Brackley's oldest traditions and a big part of our town's identity, putting the market in market town!

So whether you have a browse on your way to work, pick up some treats on your break, or stock up for the weekend to impress at a dinner party, visit the Charter Market to discover the great range of products that help make our town stand out from the rest!
