Introducing Your New West Ward Councillor - Jane Rogers

We are delighted to introduce Jane Rogers as Brackley Town Council's new West Ward Councillor.

Cllr Rogers is a Brackley resident with a particular passion for biodiversity and the environment. With grandchildren attending schools in Brackley, she is also keen to support young people and local infrastructure.

We are excited to see what Cllr Rogers will bring to the Council. As a published author and winner of multiple awards, including the Arthur C. Clarke Award for her novel The Testament of Jessie Lamb, she brings a wealth of literary experience and creative thinking to the Council, adding to the wide variety of skills, perspectives and abilities represented by its members.

There was a fantastic turnout of potential candidates who put themselves forward for the position. We were very impressed by the strong interest in local government, showing once again that Brackley really is all about the people who live here. Following the competitive co-option process, Cllr Rogers was successfully selected.

We would like to warmly welcome Cllr Rogers to Brackley Town Council and wish her every success in her new role. We would also like to thank everyone who put themselves forward for their interest and commitment to serving our town.

With Cllr Rogers joining the Council, it is now at full capacity, with four members representing each of Brackley's four wards, giving a total of 16 councillors. There are currently no vacancies, but keep an eye on our website and social media channels for future opportunities to get involved, have your say and represent Brackley as a councillor.
