Carols is Back!

We’re delighted to announce that the Brackley Christmas Community Carol Service will return to the Piazza this December!

You may have missed it at the time, but towards the end of 2025, the Council voted to merge the Christmas Carols event with the Christmas Market, Lights & Lantern Parade.

The decision came about after the team found it increasingly challenging to find enough volunteers to help run the event. While it’s completely understandable given the time of year, it made organisation and management pretty tough!

As last year’s Carol Service had a fairly modest turnout, the Council felt that holding the service as part of the Christmas Market, when there are more people out and about, could help bring the community together and give the event a bigger audience.

While the decision to merge the events was made with the best intentions, it has been reconsidered over the last few weeks. One of the key reasons for this is that the team at RBL Brackley have generously offered their time to support the event, solving the volunteer issue completely!

As a result, the Council decided to reinstate the traditional Carol Service, returning it to the calendar as a standalone event in keeping with previous years.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has come forward to offer their time at our many events, both this year and in the past. Without your help, we simply couldn’t put on many of the events our community enjoys!

Whatever you can offer will be more than enough, and we have roles to suit everyone. From fireworks and Remembrance, to Lantern Workshops, the Christmas Market, Tractor Run and beyond, the volunteers who so selflessly give their time help us enormously, and their contribution really cannot be overstated.

A special thank you to RBL Brackley for their support in bringing the Carol Service back. We look forward to seeing you all on the Piazza for this year’s service to enjoy a good old-fashioned festive sing-song with friends and family on the last weekend before Christmas!
