Help Shape a New Older Persons' Network

West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) is inviting residents aged 50 and over to help shape a new community-led Older Persons’ Network, giving people the opportunity to share their experiences and views on local services.
The network will bring people together to discuss issues that matter to them, share ideas and help influence positive change across West Northamptonshire. As a member of the UK Network of Age-friendly Communities, WNC is committed to helping people stay active, connected and independent for longer. The views of local residents will help inform an Age-friendly Community Action Plan.
The network will form part of WNC’s wider work to establish community-led networks, connecting residents, community groups and organisations around shared experiences, interests and priorities. These networks will be shaped by the people who take part, with support from the council and other partners.
Residents interested in getting involved can register their interest by completing WNC’s online Community Networks form. You can sign up as an individual, on behalf of an organisation or group, or both. The form also asks what issues or interests you would like to connect with others around, helping to shape the focus of future networks.
